Maintaining your health in college is an important priority. Without good health, you will not be able to do the things you want to do in life.

Good health is something that is often taken for granted until you no longer have it.

Simply put…The body must be cared for. The good habits you form now, will likely stick with you for the rest of your life.  The first step in maintaining or improving your health is to be aware of your individual health habits.

Stay Physically Active!

Whether you join a gym, run, ride your bike, play tennis or participate in other physical activities, staying active has many positive benefits to your mind, body and soul. Staying active can help you manage your stress level, improve your self-confidence and keep you healthy.

Make Healthier Food Choices

Avoid processed foods and foods with a lot of saturated fats. Healthy, vitamin-rich foods give you energy, protect your immune system and help you live longer. It can be hard to eat healthy especially with a limited budget but there are many low-cost, healthy alternatives. Find easy, cheap and tasty recipes for the busy college student.

Ask for Help

If you feel you cannot handle your stress level, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether you need help with your classes or help with other problems, there are always resources to help you deal with problems. Check with your school to see what kind of counseling or tutoring options are available.
