Pursuing a bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BFA, BSN for example) for the first time. Students in one-year or two-year certificate or associate's degree programs do not qualify. Students in five-plus year programs ending in a master's degree or beyond may apply for the first four (undergraduate) years of their programs. A United States citizen or noncitizen who has a current lawful presence in the United States and a work permit. The academic achievement required to gain scholarship consideration is to submit an essay with 600 or more words on the topic of Future Industrial Automation Technology. This will require internet research and demonstrate that the applicant has computer and internet literacy which is essential to work with today's automation technology. Ten full scholarships for a total of $10,000 plus in education will be awarded. Courses these scholarships will fully fund are (Each recipient receives all 7 independent study certificate courses, courses in win pc software format) Motor Controls, VFD Basics, HMI Basics, PLC Training, Electrical and PLC Troubleshooting, PAC Training, DeviceNet Basics. Note: No applicant or winner, will ever be charged any fee, shipping or any cost to student. No payment information will ever be required in relationship to this scholarship. AST-CCs Scholarship Criteria: The online scholarship information and application was designed to be as simple as possible under Lean Six Sigma principles, some of the criteria is implied on application page, and is not spelled out on the summary page. Be female. Be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident. Be a resident of Delaware OR be currently employed in Delaware for at least the past 12 months. Be at least 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Have had at least a two year break in education either after completing high school or during post-secondary (college) studies. Be admitted to an accredited Delaware college in a two or four year degree program at the undergraduate level. (Students who have previously earned a bachelor's degree are not eligible to apply.) Acquire a recommendation from a college representative, a nonprofit/government agency or an employer. Have at least a C average if currently enrolled in college. Certify financial need. The 2020 MPS General Meeting will be hosted in Oslo, Norway, September 1-5, 2020. The 2020 Hayek Essay Contest is open to all individuals 36 years old or young. Entrants should write a 5,000 word (maximum) essay. Essays are due on May 31, 2020 and the winners will be announced on June 30, 2020. Essays must be submitted in English only. Electronic versions should be sent to: [email protected]. Authors of the winning essays must present their papers at the General Meeting to receive the award. The essays will be judged by an international panel of three members of the MPS.

The Merchants Exchange Scholarship helps students seeking careers in a Maritime field and/or International Trade receive resources for continued education. The scholarship is awarded to students seeking a career in the maritime industry, or with a career, that influences the maritime industry. The scholarship is awarded to students with a minimum 2.5 GPA (or equivalent) and are currently a junior or senior enrolled in a 4-year college/university, or a freshman (first-year) or sophomore (second-year) enrolled in a 2-year institutional degree program, or a graduate student with Maritime Affairs and/or International Trade as their chosen field of study. Be a female survivor of intimate partner abuse and has been separated from her abuser a minimum of one year, but not more than seven years. Have sought services from a non-profit agency that provides services to survivors of intimate partner abuse for a minimum of 6 consecutive months. This agency is willing to act as sponsor by mentoring and providing support to the student throughout her educational experience and can accept funds on behalf of the applicant, should a scholarship for living expenses be awarded.
