In order to apply, you or the intended recipient must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Additionally, you or the recipient must meet one of the following conditions: Are retired or separated from service under honorable conditions. Are currently serving active duty in any branch of the Armed Forces. Are the dependent of an active-duty service member serving in any branch of the Armed Forces. Family members or friends may apply on behalf of a service member or qualified dependent.

Kinship Requirement: Scholarship grant recipients must be immediate dependent (legal son, grandson, daughter, granddaughter, or spouse) of: a) A U.S. aircrew member listed as Killed in Action (KIA) or Missing in Action (MIA) from any combat situation involving U.S. military from August 1964 (Vietnam Era) through the present; or b) A military aircrew member killed as the result of performing aircrew duties during a non-combat mission; or c) A RRVA member who is currently in good standing or was in good standing at the time of their death. 2) Kinship Not Required: To provide assistance in the education of persons in the fields related to aviation and space (Kinship to deceased aviator not required).

Financial aid for tuition and other educational expenses are available for veterans and their family members who are attending an institution of higher learning within the borders of the State of Maryland. You must be: The son or daughter of a member of the United States Armed Forces who died, or is 100 percent disabled as a direct result of military service A veteran who suffers, as a direct result of military service, a disability of 25 percent or greater and has exhausted or is no longer eligible for federal veterans' educational benefits The son, daughter or surviving spouse of a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, who died as a result of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the attack on the Pentagon in Virginia, or the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 in Pennsylvania A POW/MIA of the Vietnam Conflict or his/her son or daughter A state or local public safety employee or volunteer who was 100 percent disabled in the line of duty.

Applicants must be enrolled, full time in a CACREP-accredited counseling master's program. Applicants must be veterans or active-duty U.S. military service members or spouses of a veteran or active-duty U.S. military service member. Veterans must have received an honorable discharge. Applicants must be currently enrolled full time for the fall 2022 semester and be in good standing in a CACREP-accredited counseling master's-level program. Applicants must have taken courses during the spring 2022 semester. Applicants may not have a pending status, deferred status, or other future start date for coursework. Applicants are expected to graduate by December 31, 2025 (within three years from the date of the scholarship funding). Eligible applicants must not have an anticipated program completion date before September 1, 2023, which will be verified in writing by their academic department. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with military personnel and families. Applicants must commit to becoming board certified by applying for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification prior to graduation and to completing the application process. Applicants must commit to providing mental health services to service members and/or veterans within one year of graduation and for the duration of a minimum of at least two years post-graduation.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund applicants must be one of the following: The dependent son or daughter of a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman or Marine who has become permanently disabled as a result of an operational mission or training accident. The dependent son or daughter of a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman or Marine who has been killed in action. The dependent son or daughter of a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman or Marine who has been classified as a Prisoner of War (POW) or Missing in Action (MIA). All applicants must also meet the following eligibility requirements in order to qualify for a Freedom Alliance scholarship. Currently in their senior year of high school, a high school graduate or a currently enrolled full time undergraduate student. Under the age of 26 at the time of application.

1. Honorably separated U.S. military veteran from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Reserves or National Guard. 2. Has a service connected injury caused or aggravated by military service after September 11, 2001; as a result of that injury, has a physical disability that severely impacts function of one or more major life activities. 3. Meets the requirements for admission to the University of Idaho as a degree-seeking student. 4. Enrolls as a full-time undergraduate, graduate or law student at the University of Idaho. (Note: The scholarship committee may make an exception for part-time enrollment should the disability and other circumstances, in the committee's judgment, preclude full-time enrollment.) 5. The spouse of a veteran who meets requirements 1 and 2 may be eligible; the spouse also must meet requirements 3 and 4. In partnership, a veteran and spouse may both be eligible to receive funding and other services provided by the program as each pursues an Idaho degree 6. Priority will be given to Idaho residents (as defined by the University of Idaho Catalog) and to those veterans whose injury and resulting disability are the result of action in a combat zone. Veterans' spouses may apply jointly or individually for the Operation Education Scholarship.

Candidates submitting scholarship applications must, in the year of submission of their scholarship application: be about to graduate or have graduated from an accredited high school, or equivalent educational institution or have successfully earned a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) must intend to enter, or be currently enrolled in a community college, vocational college, college or university to complete the curriculum prescribed in or to be graduated with an AA, AS, BA or BS degree. must be the immediate family member of either an active duty, retired, or reserve Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy (children may be natural, adopted or step-children).

Open to active duty, reservist or veteran army personnel including national guard. Must be enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program and have no disciplinary action.

The Steve Robinson Metal of Honor Veterans Scholarship (sponsored by The Rockstar Mayhem Festival's Metal of Honor Program) was created to directly encourage and support the educational growth of newly enrolling US Military veterans (all branches) at Musicians Institute.

Over the last several years, the Recycling Research Foundation has become keenly aware of the number of veterans in need of financial aid as they seek to complete their undergraduate education. Understanding that not all expenses may be covered through existing government and scholarship aid, RRF created a stipend of up to $8,000 open to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. This stipend covers $2,000 per year and is renewable for up to 4 years or the length of study, whichever comes first. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, have served a minimum 2 years active duty or 4 years reserve in a branch of the U.S. military and have been honorably discharged. Please note that while this stipend is intended to support those who have completed military service, it does not exclude members of the Ready Reserve who are in a non-drill pay or non-drill status.
