A fund providing financial help and encouragement to the next generation of filmmakers has been established by the Monterey County Film Commission. If you are a student of film and a resident of Monterey County, or if you are currently enrolled in a community college or university in the County, then you may apply! The Monterey County Film Commission's Director Emeritus Richard Tyler Film Student Scholarship Award Program is a permanent endowment with the Community Foundation for Monterey County.

- Graduating High School Senior - Resident of one of the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Lake, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Yolo.

Currently enrolled AA, B.M. or M.M. (Guitar) students only. Available to international students and U.S. citizens. May only be applied to the Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Performance (Guitar) Program.

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School. 3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average. 4. Must be in the top 20% of the high school graduating class. Must be confirmed by the high school counselor. 5. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation. 6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college. 7. Must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation. 8. Applicant's Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $85,000. 9. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA SAR showing the EFC. 10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible. 11. Must not have a felony conviction. The average Hagan Scholar recipient is ranked 9th in a class of 107 students. The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal driven student having a genuine financial need in order to attend college.

The AVID Scholarship Program at Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) is made possible by the generous support of Orange County philanthropists and community leaders committed to the academic and life success of AVID students. Working in partnership with the Draper Family Foundation Fund, Dad's House, Beatrice Levin Scholarship Fund, the Orange County Department of Education's AVID Program, SchoolsFirst and the AVID Orange County Dollars for Scholars, the AVID Scholarship Program at OCCF provides scholarships to qualified AVID graduating seniors in Orange County. A student enrolled in the AVID program for a minimum of three years. A student who demonstrates a commitment to higher education despite personal and/or financial obstacles. A student who has been accepted to and will attend an accredited four-year college or university. A student who has earned a minimum GPA of 2.8. A student who demonstrates a commitment to the community.

For OC Dream Act/ AB 540 community college transfers with a 2.5 GPA or higher who will enroll at a 4-year college or university.

First generation college student Latinx resident of Orange County (OC), California for the past three years. OC high school graduate or an OC community college transfer student planning to enroll full-time at a four year college in Fall 2023. Demonstrate financial need through a completed FAFSA application or California Dream Act application. HEEF welcomes students who are undocumented!

This scholarship is for Hispanic high school seniors or community college transfers who enroll at a 4-year college or university. Applicants must have: Have a GPA of 3.5 higher. Major in science, engineering, or business. Have a history of community service. May be renewable based on available funding.
