You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

Be a veteran or active duty member of the U.S. Military service, or a direct dependent (i.e., son, daughter, spouse) Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or registered as undergraduate students at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution. Be a U.S. citizen. Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree from a college or university.

Students must be actively enrolled at a US college or university with a valid student ID number and currently enrolled in classes in order to be eligible. Essays must be unique (not submitted elsewhere) and written by the student. All submissions should be in English. Applicants may only submit one essay per contest.

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must: Obtain a written sponsorship from an APSA of Illinois member (if you are not familiar with an APSA of Illinois member in your area, please contact us at 1-800-369-2964); Be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate; Be pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket industry; Be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student in a curriculum leading to a degree in an accredited college or university. Be a legal resident of Illinois; Provide a photo for APSA of Illinois use in publications.

Be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina. Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above. Demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000). Possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to their community.

Eligibility: Must be a legal Illinois resident, high school senior graduating in the Spring, and have at least a B average. Requirement: Must be graduating from a high school that participates in the Pilchard scholarship program and attend an Illinois-based college/university.

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School. 3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average. 4. Must be in the top 20% of the high school graduating class. Must be confirmed by the high school counselor. 5. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation. 6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college. 7. Must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation. 8. Applicant's Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $85,000. 9. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA SAR showing the EFC. 10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible. 11. Must not have a felony conviction. The average Hagan Scholar recipient is ranked 9th in a class of 107 students. The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal driven student having a genuine financial need in order to attend college.

The principal investigator(s) should be registered nurses (or country equivalent) with current license (if applicable). Be a member of Sigma. Have at least a master's in nursing (or country equivalent). Submit a completed research application package and signed research agreement. Ready to implement research project when funding is received. Complete project within one (1) year of funding. Submit to Sigma a final report; submit completed abstract to Sigma's Virginia Henderson Global Nursing e-Repository. Note: Some preference will be given to applicants residing in Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Through the Felton A. Childress, Sr. and Rhoda A. Wilson scholarship funds, assistance can be provided to students of cancer families to help defray the costs associated with beginning or continuing their education. Both funds are open to students of families or individuals who have applied to and approved in the MedStart-5 program.
