In the 20 years Red Olive has been in business you can count on one hand how many female programmers have applied vs hundreds of males. Only 17% of computer science graduates are women which is troubling. Combine that with the fact that the United States is not producing near enough programmers to compete globally against China and India, and you have a problem in our industry. We clearly don't have all the answers here, however we can try to help in our own small way. The applicant must be a Female majoring in Stem Related Field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Statistics, etc.). Must be currently enrolled or planning a fully accredited university. To apply, submit an 800 word essay on How You Plan to Make the Future Better with Technology.
