Applicants must be a resident of the State of Michigan and a United States Citizen (International students must provide proof of citizenship) and either attending or accepted by an accredited trade or business school, college or university. 3. Applicants must complete the official scholarship application (both sides). 4. Must submit two letters of recommendation. 5. Must submit an essay outlining why you need the scholarship. 6. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (transcript required). 7. Completed scholarship applications must be postmarked NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 31st annually. 8. Must attend the Lions of Michigan Forum to accept scholarship during a ceremonial presentation. 1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School. 3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average. 4. Must be in the top 20% of the high school graduating class. Must be confirmed by the high school counselor. 5. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation. 6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college. 7. Must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation. 8. Applicant's Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $85,000. 9. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA SAR showing the EFC. 10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible. 11. Must not have a felony conviction. The average Hagan Scholar recipient is ranked 9th in a class of 107 students. The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal driven student having a genuine financial need in order to attend college.

Enrollment - Student must be enrolled and participating in interscholastic athletics at an MHSAA member school. Senior Status - Student must be a senior graduating during the 2022-23 school year. Varsity Letter - Student must have prior to senior year won a varsity letter in a sport in which the MHSAA sponsors a postseason tournament. 3.50 GPA - Student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. You may not round up a 3.4x grade point average for the purposes of qualifying.

The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant (CVTG) was previously called Education of Children of Veterans, Public Act 245 of 1935 and was administered and funded by the Michigan Trust Fund. In 2005, CVTG was established under Public Act 248 to provide an undergraduate tuition program for children of certain deceased or disabled members of the armed forces of the United States. The program is designed to provide undergraduate tuition assistance to certain children older than 16 and less than 26 years of age who have been Michigan residents for the 12 months prior to application. To be eligible, a student must be the natural or adopted child of a Michigan veteran. Stepchildren of the veteran are not eligible. The veteran must have been a legal resident of Michigan immediately before entering military service and must not have later resided outside of Michigan for more than two years; or the veteran must have established legal residency in Michigan after entering military service.

Admitted to and enrolled at any public State of Michigan university or community college. a. Make regular progress toward a degree or certification. b. Must maintain a 2.0 grade point average at the post-secondary institution. c. Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. d. Named in honor of Michigan's #1 Civil Engineering Project of the 20th Century by the ASCE Michigan Section membership in December 1999, the Mackinac Scholarship is intended to recognize a premier Civil Engineering student from Michigan. The award will be presented annually, and will consist of a two-year grant of $5,000 each year (totaling $10,000 over a two-year period) to a student entering his or her junior year at an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program. The award considers merit, personal initiative and financial need and encourages both participation in a student chapter of ASCE and contributions to the advancement of student engineering.
