Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship
Award: Up to $5000
Number of Awards: Several, $41.5 Million Dollars in Funding
Deadline: Application deadline is June 1 for the Fall term and November 1 for the Spring term
Eligibility: Applicant must be an Arkansas resident and U.S. citizen or lawful resident.  Accepted for admission at an approved institution of higher education in a program of study that leads to a baccalaureate degree, associate degree, qualified certificate or a nursing school diploma. Not have earned a baccalaureate degree. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (although there will be no maximum income cap). Not owe a refund on a federal or state student financial aid grant for higher education. Not be in default on a federal or state student financial aid loan for higher education. Not borrowed in excess of annual federal loan limits. Not be incarcerated at the time of application for or during the time the applicant receives the scholarship. Complied with the United States Selective Service System requirements for registration. Certify to be drug free. Contact for additional eligibility requirements.

Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative Program
Award: free career training, college classes, and educational financial assistance to those who qualify.

Eligibility: You must be an adult caretaker, parent or relative of a child under the age of 21  AND are receiving Transitional Employment Assistance(TEA) now, or have received TEA in the past OR are receiving food stamps, Medicaid, or ARKids  OR  have annual family income below 250% of federal poverty level (about $44,000 annually for a family of three).

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund

Eligibility: Eligible applicants are single parents living in Arkansas who are considered economically disadvantaged and who have custodial care of one or more children under the age of eighteen. Eligible applicants are those who have not previously earned a diploma or degree from a four-year institution of higher learning.

Arkansas State Board of Nursing Scholarships
Award: Up to $20,000
Number of Awards: Varies
Deadline: Two deadlines per year, November 1 for the Spring and June 1 for the Fall.
Eligibility: Must be Arkansas resident. Must have nursing license in good standing. Teaching or hired to teach in an Arkansas nursing program. Be accepted or enrolled in an approved Arkansas nursing program or accredited out-of-state nursing program that meets requirements of ASBN  and Department of Education. Enrolled in Bachelor, Master or Doctorate Program. Relatives of Arkansas State Board of Nursing Members or staff are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Eligibility: *Must be resident of Arkansas *ineligible for SSI or SSD funding * Documentation of your disability by two of the following: a.  A copy of Professional Evaluation. b.  A copy of your school IEP  c.  A letter from a qualified professional certifying your learning disability (special educator, psychologist, or psychological examiner.) * A two-paragraph statement of your future educational or career goals. * Official transcript of all high school and/or college courses. *Two letters of recommendation from two adults that can testify to your academic abilities, personal character, volunteer services, and community involvement. These letters should be from a teacher, coach, counselor, or community member- not a relative.
